This miraculous garden, transformed from a derelict chemical factory into a fusion of Song Dynasty aesthetics and modern ecology, recreates the poetic dreamscape of Shen Kuo’s Dream Pool Essays using Southern Song techniques. By shaping mountains, channeling water, and arranging flora, it embodies the Jiangnan ideal of "flowers and trees like brocade." The lotus pond at Chengxiang Hall’s entrance embodies his philosophy of heritage. Cultivated from Song Dynasty lotus seeds unearthed by archaeologists, it symbolizes how incense culture, like the lotus, rises from the mud of time to bloom in the present breeze. Through this millennial legacy, he hopes to inspire reflection on historical preservation.

 

 

 

Despite their diverse expertise, the three titans discovered striking similarities in their pursuit of life’s aesthetics during their AmoDilo experience.
